2026 RALLY OF OBERON
14th November 2026

The Rally of Oberon will make its return to the NSW rally calendar on Saturday, 14 November 2026, providing competitors with a new season-ending challenge across the forests surrounding Oberon. Organised by the Rally Car Club, the event will feature approximately 140 kilometres of competitive stages, with crews tackling roads through the Jenolan forests in a traditional roadbook-only rally.
The Rally of Oberon will host:
Round 5 of the Shamrock Haulage NSW Rally Championship
Round 6 of the East Coast Classic Rally Series
Round 4 of the NSW Clubman Rally Series
Following the successful running of the Rally of Bathurst earlier in the season, Event Director Ron Moore and the Rally Car Club team are now turning their attention to bringing rally competition back to Oberon.
“The forests around Oberon have a long connection with rallying, and we are excited to be putting together an event that brings competitors back onto some fantastic roads through the Jenolan area,” Moore said. “There is something special about a traditional roadbook rally. It rewards preparation, teamwork and good communication between the driver and co-driver, and we think it will be a great way to finish the season.”
The event is being planned as a straightforward and competitor-friendly rally, with a strong focus on providing crews with plenty of competitive kilometres without adding unnecessary complexity.
“We want to deliver a good, honest rally,” Moore said. “Approximately 140 kilometres of competition will give crews plenty of value, but the format will remain simple. Turn up, prepare properly, enjoy the roads and finish the season with a smile on your face.”
The Rally of Oberon will provide an important final opportunity for competitors across all three Rally NSW series to score championship points. With the event scheduled as the final round of the Shamrock Haulage NSW Rally Championship, East Coast Classic Rally Series and NSW Clubman Rally Series, the forest roads around Oberon could play a decisive role in determining the 2026 series winners.
“The final event of any championship always has a different atmosphere,” Moore continued. “Some crews will be chasing titles, some will be trying to finish their season on a high, and others will simply want to enjoy one more rally before the cars go back into the shed for summer. We know the Rally Car Club team can deliver a strong event after what we achieved at Bathurst, and we are looking forward to applying that experience to Oberon.”
Further information, including Supplementary Regulations, entries, the event schedule and competitor documentation, will be released closer to the event.
Competitors, officials and rally supporters are encouraged to lock the date into their calendars now.
